Today's technology enables many time and cost saving processes to be used while developing a new product. Computer generated hull lines can now be downloaded into a computer controlled router to cut the hull frames, plugs or molds. This eliminates the tedious hand lofting which has been used to build boats for centuries. This technology even replaces full size mylar templates, a leading edge technology just a few years ago. CNC routers can also be used on a recurring basis to cut bulkheads and interior components.
